Learn All About Green Goblin Head and Who We Are!

My brother lived in the Wilmington, NC area when the movie was made. After the filming was finished the truck was hauled away to the junk yard. A man by the name of John Allison bought the head from a junk yard that was across the road from his house called Silent Rick's Towing & Salvage. He cut the head from the hood, leaving part of the hood attached to it. He had to move and didn't have room to keep the head so he contacted the Wilmington Morning Star and they did this article about it. My brother saw the article and called me and told me about it. I called John Allison and made arrangements to buy it. A price was agreed upon and I went there to get it. That trip is a story in itself! I had a blast bringing it home. Everyone that passed me was freakin out! Truck drivers were fighting for a place beside my truck so they could get a better look and when I would stop for gas.... would take a half hour to get away from the crowd!! Shown is a picture of the newspaper article. The cut out area is where my brother cut out the guys name and phone number so he could tell me about it. Later when I arrived there he gave me the rest of the newspaper. If anyone has a better copy of this newspaper please email me because I would love to find a way to get a better copy. I contacted the newspaper several times to see if there was a way to get a copy and no one ever returned my emails or phone calls. Here is what I can remember of the conversation I had with John Allison. He told me that 3 men were commissioned to make their own version of the head for the movie. Above in the article is one such design. After the heads were made the studio decided which one they wanted and had the prop builder to make 2 of them. One to use in the movie and a second for backup should the first on not survive filming. Well, the first head made it all the way through the movie and was blown up in the end. The backup copy is rumored to be locked away in studio storage somewhere. I was told they intend to NEVER sell it. If anyone reading this happens to know this John Allison, please contact him and have him get in touch with me or give me his phone number or address. I would really like to talk to him again to find out more information.
